Echinocereus pulchellus I just got this weekend at the South Florida Cactus and Succulent Society show at Fairchild Tropical Gardens. I’m impressed the bud survived the trip.
Matucana madisoniorum - a plant I got at the cactus society holiday party flowering for the first time - flowers await hummingbirds to pollinate, but none are coming…
Echinocereus pentalophus procumbens - my favorite cactus! (next to E. scheerii gentrii, well, it’s very close) - Amazing flowers on a quickly growing cool, rambling plant. I never get tired of looking at these. This photo is from April 2012
Sulcorebutia rauschii - one of my favorites, all cool and weird looking. It tried to flower this year but the bud got to about 3mm and then gave up. Hopefully it will try again
Rebutia muscula - flowering in June 2011 - I got this from Walmart’s - it was all eloitated and later got some bad rot, but after some extreme surgery it recovered and I’ll hopefully be posting new pictures of its flowers this year
